About Us


Not everyone can whip up creative, keto-friendly dinners from scratch after a long day at work. That’s why 518 Kitchen exists. 518 Kitchen brings you farm-fresh recipes, with locally sourced ingredients composed into keto-friendly, utterly craveable meals and snacks – delivered to your doorstep. (And if you’re wondering where the “518” comes from, it’s the area code for the Adirondack region in upstate New York – we’re proud of it!) From flavor-packed recipes like Pork Chimichurri and Lamb Saag – to comfort foods like Meatloaf Mac and Cheese and Everything Bagel Bites – these chefs are constantly exploring delicious new recipes and adventurous pairings. Real meals, on the table really fast.


518 Kitchen is the brainchild of three professionally trained chefs– John, Scott and Zach– who are committed to freshness and quality. Day in and day out, they chase the precise balance of carbs, fats and proteins of a keto lifestyle, tweaking recipes…dreaming up new ones…and perfecting the challenging flash-freezing process. From our freezer to yours, so you can do Keto effortlessly. When the weekends roll around, they want to kick their feet up and enjoy time with their friends and families – just like you. No, these chefs don’t want their names in lights, or their picture on the box. They simply want to bring you the best keto meals possible, right to your door.

Think of them as the chefs next door – who are really passionate about good food.  



A graduate of the Hudson Valley Culinary program at CCHV in Jersey City, NJ.

John spent several years perfecting his craft in NYC, before migrating to northern Vermont. John has spent the past 20+ years in food production, R&D and operations. John is an avid sailor and has sailed in many parts of the world. John also enjoys restoring his vintage farmhouse.


A graduate of New England Culinary Institute in Montpelier Vermont.

Scott followed a dream and spent time working in Paris at 2- and 3-star Michelin restaurants. Scott has spent the past 25+ years working in food production and co packing kitchens with a focus on R&D and customer development. Outside the kitchen Scott plays ice hockey year-round and enjoys tapping maple trees on his property to make his own maple syrup.


A graduate of Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park NY.

Zach is from the north country and makes his home here. After working at restaurants in Lake Placid and along Lake Champlain, Zach moved to food production and now runs the day-to-day operations in the kitchen. Zach enjoys riding his Harley through the Adirondacks and along the shore of Lake Champlain in his free time.


A graduate of SUNY Plattsburgh, majoring in Global Supply Chain Management and Business Administration. Andrew is from Long Island, NY but has been part of the North Country community for the past 8 years. While outside of work, Andrew enjoys going to the gym, hiking and riding his motorcycle throughout the Adirondack region.
