What is Keto?

What is keto-friendly?

Keto-friendly to us means that our meals can be enjoyed by both Keto and Low Carb lifestyle followers. Keto-friendly meals fall within a range of 65-70% fat, 20-25% protein, 10-15% carbs, with 15-20g net carbs.

Keto-friendly is a great option for those floating between tracking macros and trying to limit carbs. Our Keto-friendly meals are still high in healthy fats and low in carbs, promoting a healthy lifestyle similar to the benefits of Keto and Low Carb diets.



Are meals Gluten-Free?

All meals are made with Gluten-Free ingredients and every batch is tested by our Quality Assurance team to ensure it is free of Gluten.

What type of meats are used?

We only use premium quality meats in our meals. That means all of our beef is 100% grass-fed, pork is pasture-raised, chicken is antibiotic-free, eggs are cage-free, and seafood is responsibly sourced.

How many calories are in each meal? 

Calories, macronutrients (macros- carb/protein/fat content), and nutrition information depend on each meal, so every item is different!

Every meal's product page includes nutritional information, calorie content, and a helpful macro chart.

That way, you know exactly what you're getting and eating with every meal!


How long do meals last?

Meals are shipped and delivered frozen. We recommend storing them in your freezer until you're ready to enjoy them and they keep up to 6 months in the freezer.

How many people does one meal feed?

Our meals are designed to satisfy one person

Can I store meals in the fridge?

Yes! You can defrost items overnight in the fridge, however we do not recommend storing meals in the fridge for longer than 7 days.


How do I prep and cook my meal?

No meal prep or cooking necessary! Your meals arrive prepared and cooked by our chefs who flash freeze them at the point of perfection. All you have to do is simply heat them as instructed on the packaging and enjoy! Follow the recommended heating instructions for the best results.

Can I heat my meals in the oven?

Yes, most of our meals can be heated in the oven. For best results refer to the label on the packaging of your meals for best heating practices. Please see an item's individual page for specific heating instructions!


Is there a minimum order?

Yes. 518 Kitchen has a $40 order minimum.

Is this a subscription?

We do not require a subscription!

With 518 Kitchen you can enjoy our a la carte menu or opt into our bundle box subscriptions.

How much does each meal cost?

Meal prices depend on each product. Please refer to each individual product page for pricing.

Snacks and desserts range from $6.99-8.99

Breakfast items are $7.99

Lunch and Dinner entrees range from $10.49-16.99

Quality is our mission at 518 Kitchen. We use the highest quality of fresh ingredients in our meals, with recipes designed by professionally trained chefs. Ultimately, your meals are created by a small family business made up of a team of chefs and nutritionists, with the highest quality ingredients.

How are meals packaged?

Meals come packaged and flash frozen in individually sealed plastic trays. These trays arrive in sleeves with nutrition and macro information, and heating instructions. Your meals will arrive boxed within a ClimaCell insulated liner and packed with Dry Ice to ensure your order arrives the same way they leave our upstate New York location.

Is packaging microwave and oven safe?

Absolutely. The plastic tray is BPA free, and the plastic film is microwave and oven-safe.

Is packaging recyclable?

Yes! The top film can be thrown away while the plastic tray & cardboard sleeve are recyclable!



How can I see my past orders?

If you have previously made an account, you can view your orders by signing in to our website with your login information. Under your account you'll be able to view all past orders.

How can I track my order?

After your order has been shipped, you'll receive a shipping confirmation email from us. In that email, you can find tracking and shipping information from FedEx about your order.

How can I change or cancel my order?

Orders may be changed or cancelled within 24 hours of placing the order, prior to shipping.

Do I have to be home when my order is delivered?

Nope! We ship through FedEx right to your door, no signature required.

My order is incorrect! What do I do?

Oh no!! Please reach out to use via phone at 1-518-324-4464 or email info@518kitchen.com with your order number, and our Customer Support Team will work with you to resolve the issue.

When will my order ship?

We aim to ship orders within 2 business days. Due to COVID-19 please allow extra time for us to assemble and ship your order.

Typically, our schedule is that orders placed after noon on Wednesday may not ship until the following Monday. Orders placed over the weekend ship Tuesday. Please reach out to Customer Support via email for a specific delivery date.


What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards as well as PayPal, Apple Pay, and GooglePay. We also sell gift cards!

How do I change my payment information?

If you already have made an account with 518 Kitchen, log in. Along with your address, you will see billing information which you can update as needed.

Where can I view order receipts?

All past orders can be viewed once you login using your username and password. If you do not have an account with us but have purchased from 518 Kitchen before, please contact our Customer Support Team for assistance retrieving past order information.

Refunds & Returns

We do not accept returns on food items as they are perishable goods. Please do not send your meals back to 518 Kitchen! If your order falls within our 7 business day policy, you may be eligible to receive replacement meals, store credit, or a refund to your payment method. Please refer to our policies below.

The following reasons are not covered under our refund policy:

      • Orders that are refused when the delivery attempts are made
      • Orders that are redirected by customer
      • Orders with incomplete or invalid addresses
      • Orders that are sent to recipients not available to accept packages in a timely manner on the day that it arrives
      • Inability to retrieve your order on the guaranteed delivery date, resulting in defrosted items or damage

Shipping charges are non-refundable.

We ship directly to you through FedEx Overnight & FedEx Ground.

Does shipping cost extra?

Yes, shipping is an additional cost for orders under $150.

Standard ground orders arrive 1-3 days after shipment. Orders placed after Wednesday may not ship until the following Monday.

Shipments to AK & HI incur a $50 shipping fee as they are all shipped Next Day Air.

When can I expect my meals?

Please allow for 3 business days for us to process your order.

Once your order ships, you will receive an email with tracking information. FedEx Overnight orders will arrive the next day. FedEx Ground orders will arrive within 3 days. We ship Monday-Thursday, excluding holidays. Orders placed after 12PM Wednesday may ship the following Monday.

Shipping delays have risen with the enormous stress currently on services like FedEx.

We appreciate your patience and understanding with FedEx and their drivers, and that we cannot interfere with delivery once orders leave our facility.

How can I track my order?

After your order has been shipped, you'll receive a shipping confirmation email from us. In that email, you can find tracking and shipping information with your FedEx tracking number.

My order says delivered but I cannot find it

Please first check around your property. FedEx drivers may leave packages on porches, carports, garages, driveways, or side doors.

If you are still unable to locate the package, please contact your local FedEx location immediately with your tracking number to obtain delivery confirmation or additional information.

Please note that 518 Kitchen cannot contact or communicate with FedEx for you.

Are products shipped frozen?

Yes, all of our products are shipped frozen. Dry ice may evaporate prior to arrival at your door. This is perfectly normal. As long as meals are cool to the touch, simply store in the freezer.

What if there is no dry ice?

Dry ice will evaporate throughout the shipping process. If there is none upon your order's delivery, but your meals are cold, store them in your freezer. They are perfectly fine.

If there is any dry ice remaining, leave it in the cooler to dissipate, or handle it carefully with gloves and let it dissipate outdoors.

CAUTION: Dry Ice temperature is extremely cold at -109.3°F or -78.5°C. ALWAYS handle Dry Ice with care and wear protective gloves (such as an oven mitt or towel) whenever touching it. If touched briefly it is harmless, but prolonged contact with the skin can cause injury similar to a burn.

Dry Ice will evaporate on its own, never leave it unattended around children or pets.

* If the product is completely thawed on arrival, contact customer service. Please do not dispose of any item before speaking with customer service.

How do I dispose of packaging materials?

All packaging material is curbside recyclable. This includes the box your meals were shipped in, as well as the insulated insert within the box. Dry ice will evaporate on its own.

CAUTION: Dry Ice temperature is extremely cold at -109.3°F or -78.5°C. ALWAYS handle Dry Ice with care and wear protective gloves (such as an oven mitt or towel) whenever touching it. If touched briefly it is harmless, but prolonged contact with the skin can cause injury similar to a burn.
